Linen at Leveteroom
Linen is one of the oldest natural fibres used in clothing and a cornerstone of the Scandinavian wardrobe. Our linen collection includes shirts, trousers, dresses, and blouses cut from pure linen and linen blends, where the material is given room to breathe — without losing the calm, feminine fit we design for.
How linen behaves
Linen has an uneven, natural texture you can both see and feel. The fabric is cool against the skin, breathable, and softens with each wash. It creases. This is not a flaw — it is part of the character of the material. Linen has a living, lived-in quality that shifts throughout the day and over time. Many people prefer it for exactly that reason.
On warm days, linen drapes lightly around the body. In colder months it works as a layer that balances heavier materials like wool and knitwear. A linen shirt under a blazer, or a linen blouse paired with trousers in a heavier weight, gives the wardrobe contrast in texture.
Caring for linen
Linen can be washed at 30-40°C on a gentle cycle. We recommend:
- Washing linen on its own or with other lightweight natural fibres — avoid washing it with heavier garments such as jeans
- Removing it from the machine while still slightly damp and hanging it to dry
- Ironing or steaming while damp if you prefer a smoother finish
- Drying flat or on a hanger — avoid tumble drying, which can wear down the fibres

Linen in everyday wear
Our linen styles are designed to work both at the office and in everyday life. A simple linen shirt in white or sand is a wardrobe staple that pairs with trousers, a skirt, or jeans. A linen dress carries itself and asks little — a pair of sandals in summer, boots and a cardigan as the seasons shift.
The colour palette of the collection follows the rest of the Leveteroom universe: calm, natural tones such as ecru, sand, black, navy, and deep green. This means styles from the linen collection sit naturally alongside the rest of your wardrobe.
A considered material choice
Linen is made from the flax plant, which grows without the need for irrigation or pesticides in most growing regions. It is among the most resource-efficient natural materials, and well-made garments can last for years when cared for properly. This is part of why linen has such a firm place in our collections.
